Create Layout

I very rarely do a layout about myself but I saw this paper and I just had to use some pictures of me. This was a layout for Scrapping Your Family last month. All of the wording was fussy cut from one of the papers.
It was great because the words were not only for paper crafting but also for sewing etc so everyone got to choose the hobbies they wanted.
The photos are of me at one of Martas classes run by Sue Tucker in Coventry I think. She holds amazing classes with artists from all over the world. If you are interested  check out Artist Trading Post
Even the buttons were punched from paper.
Loved the nice bright colours on these papers.x

Enjoy Your Special Day

A card with a surprise inside and so easy to make. From the outside it looks like a normal card
but when you open it
Surprise, a butterfly pops up. It's difficult to show on here but it is really lovely and if colouring is not your thing then do what I did and stamp onto coloured card. xx

Harry 2015 with Distress Oxides

This class I decided to use Distress Oxides on black card through stencils to make the background.
The Distress Oxides give a soft chalky effect on black and were just what I needed to show off the flowers and butterflies

Yellow flowers were definitely the right choice, fussy cut from floral paper
More tomorrow as still have a few bits to share. x

Using Distress Oxides on cards

Couldn't resist doing these. I am a huge fan of Distress Oxides as you probably notice and I know through experience that even a complete card making beginner can get fantastic results with these inks.
I started off by doing the blue sky and green grass and then added a few white and red dots to look like flowers in a field.
Then I thought some of my more adventurous class mates would like a brighter background
and they liked them all but which one did they pick to do? Of course, the one with the mobile phone. Now this is really not an easy stamp to use unless you have a stamping platform or a really juicy ink pad so we had some fun but we all got there in the end.
I'll put in a scrapbook layout tomorrow evening as there are a couple I haven't shared. Have a great evening and please, if you can please leave a comment. xx

Little Rose Tree

Now this stamp I have had for ages. Its a free one I think but I've never used it before so it was about time I did and I am so pleased the way it turned out.
When I stamped and coloured it in I thought it looked a bit flat so I raised the pot lip and roses using silicone glue and that did the trick.
The tiny dots in the background were made using NUVU Crystal drops. Think I will make some wedding cards with it. xx

Watercolour Flowers

I'm always looking for different ways to use Dies. I have so many of them and it is such a shame to have them unused in a box so when I started to see watercolour cards on Pinterest I thought I'd have a go. Here is the result
The flowers and background were so easy to do that everyone in class got fantastic results. Here's a close up
Loved this technique so much I'm going to use it on a canvas.

Somehow I missed these

I am trying my very best to clear the decks in my craft room so that I have more space to record videos, make up kits and get the mixed media goody bags on my Etsy site. While I was knee deep in paper I found a folder with these cards in so I thought I'd share before I posted them off.

The first one was so easy to make and my favourite of the three
The second one is made entirely from the free stamps in a past issue of Creative Stamping
I just love those shoes, glittered and ready for a party.
and the final card was made using another free set of stamps which I am using again and again. They are country flowers and really easy to colour in.
It's not a very good photo but the stamps make a refreshingly spring/summer Birthday card.
That's it till tomorrow. Off to enjoy the sunshine x
