Doggie Christmas Card

I have loads of friends with dogs so when I saw this cracking stamp it went straight in my basket. In fact on the day I bought this one I found a Christmas rabbit, cat and parrot so I bought them all.
The overall effect was made using the masking technique and is a great way to revisit those single stamps and make a statement.
Adding a shadow line under the dogs' feet adds to the dimension of the images. Xx

A Little Bit Of Purple

An unusual choice of colour for me especially with the pink glitter picking out the embossed detail, however I kind of like it and will certainly be experimenting more.

I love the floral die cut from Memorybox. It can be used for all seasons, and I will use it again on a few birthday cards next year.

Don't forget, when glittering up a card you only need to pick out a small amount of the detail to get a stunning effect.

More tomorrow xx

Christmas Robin 2

I absolutely love this stamp set from HobbyArt. I bought them last year and have used them again and again. Of the set, this Robin is my favourite.

I struggle to colour stamped images in with any sort of pen however I think that as long as the robins breast is bright red and shiney no one will notice the rest of the bird lol.

The branch is cut out on the scan n cut and the leaves are punched out.
Have a great day xx

Thank you once again for sharing Sally xx

Star Christmas Card

Sometimes I find shop bought cards are a bit old fashioned so Imthought I'd jazz it up a bit with some bright yellow stars

The central shape is raised on sticky pads and the stamps, I believe, were free in a magazine last year. You could also get the same effect using a black die cut.

Thanks for stopping by xx

A lovely relaxing crafting day

We all had a great time today crafting, chatting and eating cake. Sometimes it's just nice to craft with friends. Much needed at the moment.

Here are a few photos of works in progress. I have no idea who did what but everything looked great to me.

Looking forward to seeing this project finished.

I'll be sharing loads of work over the next few weeks so keep checking back.

Thank you to everyone who came today and for all your help clearing up and to Sally for taking Janet home and to Marilyn for the much appreciated offer of a coffee while I waited for the AA man.

Have a great weekend xxx

One For The Boys

I do try to make layouts which would suit boy/man photos but there are so many PRETTY papers out there that it is sometimes quite difficult.

Luckily this navy blue and red gave me an ideal opportunity

And a little bit of detail

The photo frames were cut out using the Scan n Cut. Love that machine.

More tomorrow xxx

Winter Trees

Sometimes a simple layout is the best way to show off a photo.
While tidying up a few days ago, I came across this beautiful bare branch stamp set. Now those of you who know me will remember that I love white background layouts with loads of white space so what else could I do but stamp away.

Here is a bit more up close.

The nice thing about it though, is that everyone's layout was different. Xx

English Country Garden

Pale bluey greens are one of my favourites so this layout sort of came together on its own.

The idea behind it was to use papers from different ranges go together even though the colours didn't match.

So It was a good opportunity to break out the punches and the gems.
And here are a few photos taken in class.

Good work ladies xx

Multiple Photos

I love this layout but then again I'm biased as the lovely little girl is my youngest Granddaughter. The layout was not made for class but instead for a magazine, unfortunately it didn't make the cut so now I can share it on here.
Note to self...take better pictures before sending your work off lol.

I love the use of multiple photos. I know some people would never cut into a photo but I always try to use as many of my photos as possible so this seems a good way of doing it.

The pleated tissue paper under the photos is the tissue that you get in little packs and is meant for decoupage. I love it because it is so easy to scrunch or please and looks good on a page.

I also needed to add some journaling and Putting the tag to Olivia's finger made me smile.

and the flowers were made using a flower stamp and then cut out and stuck to make a pretty frame.

More tomorrow xx

Christmas Reindeer

This fantastic stamp by Hobby Art will be used a lot this year. The antlers are brilliant for hanging all sorts of Christmas cheer on.
and some more detail
