A little less traditional than the previous bluebell layouts I have done however the idea of using the white alphabet in the background came from a card I recently saw on Pinterest.
Having the alphabet allowed me to add words about the day to the layout without using traditional journaling.
The clouds were cut from a 12 x 12 paper and the large title was diecut and coloured using a Distress Oxide Pad.
and the little blue bells were die cut and shaped by creasing to make them look more realistic. I enjoyed making this one. It has made me research more ways to add journaling to my pages. Back to cards tomorrow. x
It's Bluebells time again and I decided to use some of the photos from Fridays visit to the Himalayan Gardens near Sevenoaks for both. The funny thing was that although there were loads of bluebells there were also plenty of other flowers in bloom so this first layout I have used red flowers.
There is white faux stitching all around the outside and cotton tags where the paper has been torn.
The flowers were all made in class using punches, a ball tool and a foam mat.
And two little pink tags at the bottom finished this layout off.
Bluebells on tomorrow layout promise x
A trip to a National Trust House normally means spending a wonderful day with our grandchildren and a great opportunity to take loads of photos. To make the photo stand out on the bright background I printed it out in black and white.
The background is a cut out circle aperture filled with strips of distressed paper.
The Title is added around the circle using a 1" circle cut in half and used as "petals"
The flowers are simple but effective and are punched out from on of the papers used in the main circle.
To bring everything together I added some smaller strips and a tiny orange flower. Loving that white space xx
Sometimes I am asked to make scrapbook albums for all different occasions and it can be very time consuming therefore I am always looking for new ways to make simple pages for wedding books and memory albums where the recipient can add their own photos and wording.
Here is a layout I made for a Tuesday night scrapbooking class and one I will certainly duplicate as it lends itself to loads of different colour schemes.
It was also my first chance to use a new Tim Holtz Sizzix Die. I think the birds look great in flight across the page.
and it was a great opportunity to use some of my many, many pieces of fabric and ribbon
A few stamped words and it was finished. Loving these bright colours and as always, all of that white space. x
