Happy Birthday Pop Up Card

I'm not really one for cute using cute images but I wanted to include a pop up card in the last card class.

I kept the front really simple mainly because of the time we had but I made up for it on the inside.

If you like the stamp you can buy it HERE
another one tomorrow xx

Friends Layout

The inspiration for this layout came while I was cutting out numbers on my Scan n Cut for card class.  The numbers fell onto my cutting mat as I pushed them out of the paper and it gave me an idea.
The numbers are for the unknown number of years my two grandaughters will be friends.
All of the detail is added using stamps including the down arrow which I found quite by chance, on an old set of stamps.

I tried to keep the colours simple to draw people attention to the photo.
and the title drawn onto a piece of paper using a black Sharpie and then hand cut.
Time for some cards from card class tomorrow. xx

Easter Chicks Layout

well I supose they are more like hens, but you get the idea.

With Easter fast approaching I thought a fun Easter layout would be just the thing. I have seen loads of cards on pinterest, that have used the chick on the front so it was quite easy to adapt this for my layout.
The chicken wire stamp came in very useful but I only found it after I had completed the layout which meant I could only use it in the spaces.
and of course, the little guy at the bottom right of the page is my favourite.
The detail on the top right brought more of the main colours into the page.
And the little hearts looked great with the tiny white dots on them.
The little poloraid photo was made using the free programme "Picasa". I use this a lot to enhance my photos, etc.
Well thats the first of the two we made at Thursdays Scrapbook Class. xx

All Dressed Up

Like many of you, I belong to loads of different groups on Facebook including a few sale site where people sell unwanted stamps, papers, dies, etc for reduced prices. Sometimes, and I know I've done it, you buy something and it sits in its packaging and you just don't know or can't remember, what to do with it.
Well I was on one of these site a few months ago and up popped a set of Kaisercraft clear stamps. I think they were £2 so I bought them. They arrived and as soon as I got them out of the envelope I knew exactly how to use them.

Here is the stamp set
And here is the layout I made

It is all made around a circle drawn in the middle of the cardstock. The detail was added using a white gel pen andtiny diamante gems
and the title has been cut using the Scan n Cut and I have also used little alphabet stamps for the "All" and "up"
The little ovals are a tiny punch I've had for ages but it was just what I needed to finish the look.

Thanks for taking the time to pop across and take a look. Please leave a comment if you can. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. xx

This Story Was Recorded By......

Second layout form Saturdays class and after the flowers it had to be a mans layout for those many, many pictures I have of my poor husband who, bless him, poses endlessly for photos I can use in my scrapbook classes.
So you're thinking, "why doesn't she use photos from the thousands she has in her photo stash". Well, its because I havent found a way to sort my photos so that they are readily to hand when I'm creating. (Another thing to add to the list.)
The man standing was cut using the Scan n Cut and then I used a white pen to write "Husband" time and time again.

The zig zag stamp is from a distressed set by Bo Bunny and available in the Ladies That Craft shop on facebook.
Love the camera and the word stamps which I think are from Technique Tuesday and come with Smiley face stamps as well. A really fun set.
Cogs are again Scan n Cut and coloured in using metallic rub-on paste and of course the backing paper needs a mention it looks just like a corrigated fence.

Final detail was the mini staples on the brick wall.

Loved making this one xx

Summer layout

It's been so wet, cold and dreary lately that I needed to brighten things up. Here is the layout I made for the Scrapping Your Family class on Saturday.

I have used the Folk Floral and Traditional Floral stamps by DoCraft. They are clear stamps so easy to group together.

The title was made using alphabet stamps, stamped in red ink and then cut around and added to the layout using sticky foam pads.

My favourite was the little tags hanging down. They have given me another idea for future use.
Have a fantastic day x
