Seaside

Last of the five layouts from the Scrapping Your Family Special class. Nice and simple but effective I think. Can't believe I was ever that young. Such a long time ago but we had some fantastic family holidays.

This life preserver is made from circles and I added die cuts as embellishments.

By the time you see this I will be just back from my hols and ready to make all those Christmas goodies.

Watch out for the Art Journalling group starting in October and the Scrapbook Canvas class too.

Dymchurch Beach

Another Project Life compromise but think it looks lovely. Red and blue work really well together and make this layout pop.

 

Once again I used die cuts.

and some hand cut embellishments.

Will do this again xx

Family

Ok so I have no idea why I bought the Octopus stamps but they appealed to me and I am always on the look out for stamps I can use in my journal. In the end I think it made a great border for this family layout

The little die cut fish were a bit fiddly but they look great in a shoal

I also added some amongst the tendrils at the top of the page

My journaling was just the names of the people in the photo. I was cute when I was a little girl honest.

And I had to use the octopus in a diving suit stamp to finish it off. Well you have to right.

I di like Project Life and I have used it on many occassions but I do like my 12 x 12 pages for my family albums so I compromised and did this.

The Girls

Every so often I hold a Scrapping Your Family Special. This one was held on Saturday 10th September and we made 5 layouts. This is the first

The photo is of my Nan and Great Nan walking along the beach in around 1965.

I used a unity stamp for the little girls and a mixture of bright papers. Simple but I love the contrast of the black and white photo against the bright yellows and reds. xx
