A Picnic with Ants

Here is another example of a card using this months Creative Stamping stamps. Even the tablecloth is stamped and i love the little cork screw.
But my favourite is the little ant stamp which makes the border around the card.
They are so cute and I'm sure, with the millions of ants I've got in the garden this year, that I will use this stamp again and again. xx

Happy Birthday in Silhouette

These silhouette stamps were also free in a magazine a few months ago. I have become quite a collector of these stamps as they are so useful to make a quick but dramatic card.

The background is made using Distress Inks.
Three colours were used to give the fiery effect but soft blues and greens would also work. Give it a go xx

Rainbows

As usual Creative Stamping have excelled themselves and this months new A4 sheet of stamps free with the magazine, are all usable. This was a technique card so that everyone could practise their masking.
The little gems used as raindrops finished it off nicely.

If you want to try some masking then you can watch my tutorial HERE .xx

Happy Birthday Flowers

The first of four cards made for last weeks Card Class. As there were four and normally we only manage three I made this one really simple. Using two papers from a paper pack you are guaranteed to find two papers that go together. Pink is normally not my thing but I quite like this
Loads of cards, tags and layouts uploading over the next 14 days so keep checking back xx

Polka dot flower badge

We had our third Knit and Stitch get together on Monday and I had a great time, lots of laughter and chatting, brilliant.

Everyone brought something along to do and I had been busy making a fabric and felt grungy flower badge along with some kits just in case anyone wanted to play and everyone did so sewing was the theme of the evening.

Here is my badge

Stitched, padded and worn writhing two hours. Not bad going ladies.
See you on the 8th August for the next Knit and Stitch. Xx

Scotney Castle

I have been trying to use this black and white paper for ages but nothing was right until I added the red and thenI got this.
This is the second layout from Scrapping Your Family on Saturday. The main section is made from five large tags.
I lifted the punched lace with sticky foam pads.
and added some small pieces of red ribbon in the top of each tag to make the layout pop. Moree soon xx

English Garden

I went to Scotney Castle a few weeks ago with my husband and mum. We had a great day and when I saw the lavender papers I knew they were perfect for my page.
This is the first layout from last Saturdays Scrapping Your Family class.
The lavender at the bottom only needed a few tiny bumble bees.
Stamping the double gates over the raised paper proved a challenge but we all managed it.

Tiny butterflies were stamped onto the papers and then cut out and used around the title.
The tiny lavender embellishment was a stamped image cut out and added to the photo corner.
Another layout tomorrow. xx

On Your Special Day

Yep its those bumble bee stamps again. I said I'd have to use them in Card Class and this is what I came up with.
Look at the tiny bees above the bee hive. Thats why I like this stamp set, Bees of all sizes for every eventuality. xx

Happy Birthday Kite

I very rarely use embossing folders. I have my favourites, about two or three, but in reality I rarely use any of the other 50 or so I have in my box. This cloud folder was at the bottom of the box and is great because it is square and just the right size for a 5" x 5" card
In class several people forgot to check which way up the card went so we had a few happy accidents but overall everyone was happy with the results and the kites were all different colours too..
One more card tomorrow. xx

Little Fish Happy Birthday

For some reason I have had a set of beautiful fish stamps which I have never used. I think they were a Woodware set and I came across them when I was sorting out my craft room (again).

This is the card I made for the card class last Thursday.
The porthole is raised on sticky foam pads and the colouring has all been done with Promarkers. With a few holidays coming up I'm sure I will be able to use the rest of the fish on a layout soon. xx

Free Time Me Time

I love using bright papers especially when I have photos of the Grandchildren at play.
The stars were cut from the main paper and then put back onto the page using sticky foam pads.
I used a red cardstock star for the journalling and kept the title lettering plain white.
I think I might use the yellow brick paper again but this time with black graffiti. Oh that's an idea. xx

Little Donkey

Another fantastic set of stamps from Hobbyart in June and as soon as I got them I just had to use them for one of the Scrapbook Class layouts.
The beauty of these stamps is that you can either use them in black and white or colour them in.
and the bumble bees are all different sizes so there is plenty of choice.
Definitely going to use these at the next card class as well.xx
