Delightful

This is the fifth and final layout from the Scrapping Your Family Special. Because of time restraints everyone used the texture paste and stencils in class and then left everything to dry. Each kit included the paints and all the embellishments needed to complete this final layout at home.
Using the brick and flourish stencils is a great way to make a background for any projects and the paint brings out all of the detail.
And the embellishments were added and painted to blend in with the background.
For me this is the beginning of an altered piece but for the class and those who have never done anything like this before, it was a challenge. Have a great day xxx

Dad

One of my main objectives in this class was to make a mans layout using the "pretty" papers. It's not always easy but kaisercraft made it really easy by including some blues and greens on the reverse of their papers.
The little leaf stamp was another freebie from Creative Stamping magazine and makes a nice border.
The fence and the little pocket watch were from "things To Alter" (worth a look at the website). I left the fence in its natural colour but coloured the little watch using a white and a silver gel pen. Was quite surprised that the MDF coloured so well using pen.
This layout is for my dads album which I am working on. Still miss him so much. More tomorrow xx

So Grown Up

This is the third layout from Mays Scrapping Your Family Special. I decided to use the backs of the Kaisercraft Papers to create this simple layout mainly because the fronts were so PINK. Again this is based on the middle panel built from different papers and border from the kit.
When I had finished and stood back I thought there was something missing so I added the black and white Washi tape. Don't know why but that made all the difference.
The flower stickers finished the corner off nicely
And the title was made using the cheap foam multicoloured letter children use, painted with gesso and then painted to go with the layout. Definately going to buy lots more of those.
One more layout to go and then the bonus layout. Watch this space xxx

Postcard Birthday Card

I spend a lot of time looking at the internet and sometimes I find a bargain. This beautiful stamp by JustRite was one of those bargains and was ideal for my third and final card for wednesdays card class
A little bit of colour, some stamped decoupage and some tiny dewdrops made using Anitas 3D Clear Gloss and the card was complete.
Back to the Scrapbook layouts tomorrow xx

One for the record fanatic

I love the new A4 stamp set from free with the Creative Stamping magazine this month. I plan to use all of them at some time but I chose the Record stamp for the second of wednesdays card class.
It's the grooves on the records that I fell in love with. Great detail for a little stamp.
Raising some of the records gave a bit of 3d detail and I also added some black stickles to the musical notes.xx
